After doing postgraduate work at Dr. Terasaki's lab at UCLA in transplant immunology, I moved to National Hospital in Oslo, Norway, doing further cell biology research resulting in more publications. My specialty was education of immune cells to recognize specific bacteria and viruses. I was offered a job at University of Houston Texas where I worked for a couple of years until starting my genetics business. I left this and moved to Skokie, IL, where I worked for Searle Pharma doing quality assurance on compounds, the most famous being Celebrex. When the company was sold I moved to Butler PA, I worked for a couple of start up companies before spending a few years as a biotech teacher and the last two as a biology instructor at a local university.
