Hi! My name is Luke. I am a senior Computer Engineering student at Villanova University, graduating summa cum laude with a 3.95 overall GPA and a 4.00 technical GPA across mathematics, programming, and engineering coursework. My background is rooted in advanced mathematics, computer science, and problem-solving. I earned a 34 ACT and have been inducted into both Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society, and Eta Kappa Nu, the honor society for electrical and computer engineering; recognitions reserved for students with outstanding academic achievement and commitment to excellence.
I have one year of tutoring experience as a volunteer ACT math and science tutor, where I worked one-on-one with high school students to strengthen foundational math concepts, improve test-taking strategies, and build confidence. I discovered how much I enjoy helping students understand challenging material by breaking down complex ideas into clear, structured steps. I tailor my explanations to each student’s learning style and ensure they leave sessions with stronger problem-solving skills, not just correct answers.
In my technical coursework, I’ve completed and excelled in subjects such as calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, discrete mathematics, data structures, and algorithms. This background allows me to tutor a wide range of math subjects, from pre-algebra through calculus, as well as introductory programming topics including Python, C/C++, and basic computer engineering concepts. I also frequently help peers with course material and project debugging, which has strengthened my ability to teach programming fundamentals clearly and patiently.
I aim to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students can ask questions freely and grow more confident with each session. I am committed to helping students build strong fundamentals, develop effective study habits, and reach their academic goals. I look forward to supporting learners of all levels and helping them succeed.
