I am an experienced high school science teacher specializing in Chemistry, Biology, and general science. I currently teach in a public high school, working with students of varying academic levels and learning needs. My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree from Western Governors University, and I am currently pursuing graduate studies in education with a STEM focus at Millersville University.

My classroom experience includes teaching Chemistry, Biology, and integrated science to high school students. I regularly teach topics such as scientific measurement, density, dimensional analysis, atomic structure, the periodic table, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, matter, cell biology, genetics, ecology, enzymes, and scientific data analysis.

My tutoring approach is patient, structured, and individualized. I focus on identifying the specific skill or concept causing difficulty and then break challenging material into manageable steps. I use guided practice, diagrams, models, real-world examples, and questioning to help students understand concepts rather than simply memorize answers.

I also help students strengthen the math skills needed for science, interpret graphs and data, complete laboratory calculations, write Claim-Evidence-Reasoning (CER) responses, and prepare for quizzes and tests.

I especially enjoy working with students who feel overwhelmed by science or believe they are “not good at it.” My goal is to create a comfortable environment where students can ask questions, learn from mistakes, and build confidence. I want students to leave tutoring not only with better grades, but with stronger problem-solving skills and greater independence.
