I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's in English and Political Science while being an Academic All-American in Division II Lacrosse, and was a Pre-Doctoral Russian Language Fellow during my Security and Intelligence Studies Master's. The classes I most connected with were those with the instructors who brought the subject to life. One common theme that sticks out to me, instructors who strove to be engaging, understanding, and fun tended to make the complex topics feel easy. I hope to pass this experience along and use humor to help make learning enjoyable. I use lesson plans which use building blocks to break down the material into digestible work. Lastly, I always aim to meet the students where they are in the material.

I tutored for two years in college, specializing in essays, literature, and literary theory. I usually worked one-on-one but also taught auxiliary courses for upper-level English courses in small groups. Additionally, I have instructed almost every age of lacrosse athlete in individual and group form. I have experience in the club level, rec level, high school levels, and collegiate levels. My approach to instructing revolves around helping build the fundamentals of the athlete first so that lacrosse can give its maximum benefit. Lacrosse is a sport that only gives to its athletes, many times we just overthink what that looks like.
