Hello, I spent my first seven years of teaching in the Philadelphia school district working with children in the elementary and middle school settings. I served as a learning support teacher both in a full time learning support room and in inclusion classes.
Presently I am teaching in a k-2 autistic support classroom. I've had most of my students for two years now and though I miss my learning support students dearly, I love the students and classroom I moved into.

I am very familiar with phonics instruction and have used reading mastery and corrective reading for several years.
I have worked in k-8 schools for ten years now. I am familiar with the order in which skills are taught as well as knowing the common core.
I have spent 3 years in an autistic support classroom working hard to increase my students levels in regards to academics, social skills, and life skills.
I love helping students develop a new love for learning. Through boosting confidence and academic levels students can flourish both in school academically and emotionally by gaining a higher sense of self esteem.
