Hi! My name is Joseph and I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's in Industrial & Systems Engineering as well as a Bachelor's in Finance from Lehigh University. I also minored in Computer Science during my undergraduate studies. Recently, I moved to New York City to start my job as a Fin-Tech Consultant.
I have excelled in Mathematics since grade school, scoring a perfect 800 on the SAT math section twice as well as scoring a 5 on the AP Calculus I, AP Calculus II, and AP Statistics exams. During my time in university, I maintained a 3.91 GPA throughout the rigorous engineering classes, including Linear Algebra, Calculus III, Statistics, and Differential Equations.
I began tutoring my peers back from middle school, when I used to help classmates that were struggling in classes such as geometry, algebra, and pre-algebra. During college, I also tutored many students though another online tutoring platform.
My goal as a tutor is not only to help students get better grades in their classes, but to ultimately help them understand fundamental concepts of mathematics. I learned in college how important it is to have a good foundational understanding of basic math concepts, and I hope to communicate this to students. Ultimately, I like to keep my sessions focused, while engaging, so that students actually enjoy learning!
