With Math children need to learn the basics of math, to be able to think in mathematical terms. I have been using a variety of methods to help the child struggling with math to “wrap their head” around math.
I love Science. Which makes it easy to share with my students. I try to find ways to have the students enjoy Science as much as I do, which makes learning easier. Of course, sometimes a child struggling with Science isn’t they don’t understand the scientific concepts, they may have a reading problem or a study skills issue.
With my sp.Ed. Background I can address these problems.
Many of my post graduate courses I have taken have been directed at students with ADHD and Autism. Where I have been tutoring, I was given the students with ADHD or where on the spectrum. I also have a daughter with ADHD and a grandson with Autism.
I am a seasoned teacher with a wide variety of experience. You will find me non-judgmental and easy to work with. I deeply care for each student and want to see them have success. Learning is a life time skill, it needs to be encouraged in students.
