I am a college student studying history and English who is ready to help you master close reading, perfect strong writing practices, and understand the context and subtext of a poem or historical text. Previously, I have worked as a tutor for high school students taking summer courses in American history at my college. I helped students to create videos and write college-level essays through every step from the initial brainstorm to editing the final draft. I help students understand the importance of fine tuning word choice to reflect the overarching ideas of their essays. I also have experience tutoring elementary school students on the basics of reading and writing.
When students run into a problem, I believe that the most effective way to help them is to lead them to form their own solution, not just immediately tell them an answer.
