I am an enthusiastic and experienced educator and tutor with a doctorate in Educational Leadership and more than 18 years of teaching experience across public and private education settings as well as collegiate work. My background includes special education, English Language Arts, mathematics, and targeted instruction in social skills and executive functioning, including organization and study strategies. I have worked extensively with diverse learners, tailoring instruction to meet individual strengths, needs, and learning goals.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have over a decade of experience providing one-on-one tutoring and homebound instruction. I have also been professionally compensated for writing STEM curriculum and conducting educational research, which allows me to bring evidence-based strategies and high-quality instructional design into my tutoring practice. While I enjoy working with students of all ages, my primary experience has been with students in grades 5–9 as well as adult learners.
My tutoring focuses on building both academic skills and confidence. I support students with homework, test preparation, writing and editing, and long-term academic organization, while also emphasizing motivation and self-advocacy. My goal is not only to help students succeed in the moment, but to equip them with the skills and strategies they need to become independent, resilient learners.
Outside of education, I am a parent that enjoys two young children in school, sports, reading, cooking, and socializing with friends.
