Do you want to write a knockout cover letter to land that interview? Do you need a proofreader to be sure your dissertation or masters thesis is spot on perfect APA or MLA format? Need help writing your first resume? Or maybe you are working on a middle school grammar assignment.

I am a published author and former college writing and research tutor at Penn State University with 20 years of experience tutoring students from middle school through college and grad school. As an English literature and writing major at Baruch College in Manhattan I excelled gaining extremely strong writing skills which include: academic writing in APA and MLA, journalistic writing, creative writing, and business communication. I am a grammar guru who understands that writing is a process that starts with research and ends with revision and proofreading. As a former college librarian, I helped students conduct research for assignments and then guided them as they used that research to write papers and cite sources. I am very patient with first-hand knowledge of the challenges students face today, and have taught or tutored students in middle school through college and graduate school. Finally, I am an advanced user of MS Word and Excel and can teach students how to use these tools to compete academically.

Practice, practice, and did I mention practice. Writing is both a craft and process, a process which can be learned and developed. I was elected editor-in-chief of my junior college school newspaper after serving only one year as a staff writer. I have written for business and marketing professionally for over 20 years. Working as a college librarian for four years put my research skills over the top and I tutored graduate level students which almost always overlapped with their technology skills AND writing assignments. I would describe myself as a patient mentor with well-rounded language arts and technology skills who connects well with students of all ages.
