I'm a certified high school Physics and Computer Science teacher currently teaching in the Allentown/Bethlehem, Pennsylvania area, where I hold a full daily teaching load across five different courses. My background includes a Master's in Educational Psychology (completed with a 4.0 GPA) and a Bachelor's in Secondary Science Education with a minor in Mathematics (completed magna cum laude). That combination shapes how I teach: I care as much about how students learn and where their understanding breaks down as I do about the content itself, and I use that lens to figure out what's actually getting in the way when a concept isn't clicking.
My classroom experience spans a wide range of levels and formats. I teach a dual-enrollment physics course through a local community college, which follows a college-level conceptual physics curriculum, alongside a general physics section that covers similar material with adapted pacing and assessments for students who need more support. On the computer science side, I teach AP Computer Science Principles as well as an introductory CS course for younger students. Across all of these, my students range from freshmen just beginning to think abstractly about science and code, to seniors preparing for college-level coursework. I build my classes around small-group, hands-on work, running labs and projects in teams so students talk through problems together rather than just watching me solve them.
As a tutor, I bring that same approach one-on-one: meeting a student where they are, identifying the specific gap causing confusion, and working through problems step-by-step until the underlying concept, not just the answer, makes sense. Whether it's untangling a physics problem, debugging code, or building study skills and confidence for an upcoming exam, I focus on clear explanations, patience, and making sure students leave a session actually understanding the "why" behind the "how."
