“If Children don’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn!” (Ignacio Estrada). This is my individualized approach to teaching not only German, but skiing and many other things children want to learn.
I graduated with a degree in Business in Berlin, Germany, dissertation written about “Educational Management at a Car Manufacturer”, and my first job evolved around teaching and coaching long-term unemployed adults on modern office work environments to enable them to enhance their portfolio. This included business English as a foreign language.
After moving to the USA, I started teaching German, first in a One-on-One setting through language schools, shortly after in classroom settings at local Colleges and Universities. I added private tutoring as my schedule allowed it. With years of experience both in teaching and tutoring I am able to develop individualized learning schedules that match the student’s skills, goals and desires.
In addition to teaching German, I am also fully certified as a ski instructor through PSIA-AASI. I am holding a Children’s Specialist 2 accreditation, Adaptive 1 (cognitive/visual impaired) Certification and I am working as a coach and examiner for the Professional Ski Instructors of America-American Association of Snowboard Instructors.
