I attain PA teaching certifications elementary education, K-6, Spanish, and English as a Second Language, and I have 25 years of teaching experience. I am a triple-certified teacher who wants to help your child! I hold a bachelor's degree in elementary education, and I am certified to teach elementary education, K-6. My best subjects are English (reading, writing, grammar, and spelling, etc.) and Spanish (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). Additionally, I have a master's degree in teaching English as a Second Language, which I do for a living currently. I also have experience working with children with special needs (both medical and behavioral), foster children, and teens in an alternative school setting. I do my best to design my lessons to meet the needs and/or wants of my individual students, and my goal is to help them succeed, so I hope you will consider me for the tutor you are seeking!

Currently, my main profession is teaching English as a Second Language within the public school systems. A huge part of my job is teaching kids how to read. When I was attending graduate school for my master's in education with a concentration of teaching English as a Second Language, I chose to take several reading specialist courses as my electives. I feel that these courses enabled me to have the success I have had in teaching kids how to read and/or to improve their reading skills. Whether you or your child speak English as a first or second language, I would love to try to help you or your child with reading skills if/when possible, so I hope you will consider me a potential tutor.
