If you are an adult who needs résumé and cover letter help, I would love to help and will give you a discounted rate that we work out together. Over the years, several of my friends have reached out for help with their job-related materials, and after my suggested revisions, they all got jobs relatively quickly! Do you have a child who needs reading and/or writing review before school starts again? I can help with that too. Additionally, I tutor both adults and/or kids in reading/writing, English as a Second Language (reading, writing, speaking, and listening), and Spanish. I attain PA teaching certifications elementary education, K-6, Spanish, and English as a Second Language, and I have 25 years of teaching experience. I offer both in-person and virtual tutoring with a rate difference, but I only offer in-person tutoring in the Aliquippa and/or Sewickley, PA area(s). I look forward to hearing from you soon! Note: If you feel like a tutor's rate is high, please be aware that, in exchange for using Wyzant's website to obtain tutoring clients, Wyzant receives 25% of the tutor's rate, which the company refers to as a "platform fee." Additionally, the tutor is charged sales tax, at the rate according to the county and state that the tutor lives in, on the percentage that Wyzant takes. Furthermore, if the tutors are following the law, the income that the tutor is receiving (if making over a certain amount of money per year) must be filed on a 1099 form at tax time, which is paying about 20% of that tutoring income at that time. Unfortunately, due to some of these policies, I had to raise my rate, but my current clients will be charged their current rates. Thank you for your understanding.

I am a triple-certified teacher who wants to help your child! I hold a bachelor's degree in elementary education, and I am certified to teach elementary education, K-6. My best subjects are English (reading, writing, grammar, and spelling, etc.) and Spanish (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). Additionally, I have a master's degree in teaching English as a Second Language, which I do for a living currently. I also have experience working with children with special needs (both medical and behavioral), foster children, and teens in an alternative school setting. I do my best to design my lessons to meet the needs and/or wants of my individual students, and my goal is to help them succeed, so I hope you will consider me for the tutor you are seeking!

Currently, my main profession is teaching English as a Second Language within the public school systems. A huge part of my job is teaching kids how to read. When I was attending graduate school for my master's in education with a concentration of teaching English as a Second Language, I chose to take several reading specialist courses as my electives. I feel that these courses enabled me to have the success I have had in teaching kids how to read and/or to improve their reading skills. Whether you or your child speak English as a first or second language, I would love to try to help you or your child with reading skills if/when possible, so I hope you will consider me a potential tutor.

Excellent, Patient, and Caring Reading Tutor

Corinn is an excellent tutor. She is patient, knowledgeable, caring, and truly takes the time to understand each child’s individual needs. I really appreciate how she evaluates their reading skills and adjusts her approach based on their strengths and areas that need improvement. She is also incredibly understanding and considerate. During one of our last session, we were about 30 minutes late because of traffic, and even though she had reserved that time for us, she kindly chose not to charge us for the time we missed. I truly appreciated that gesture. She makes my children feel comfortable and supported, and her communication has been wonderful. She is professional, flexible, and genuinely invested in helping her students succeed. I am very happy we found her and would highly recommend her to other families.
