I have four years of teaching English as a second language in Japan in a public classroom setting, as well as over 10 years of experience tutoring both adults and students ranging from elementary age to high school in ESL. I help students hone their academic writing and find their voice through proofreading, including writing planning and organization, content, grammar, vocabulary and mechanics. English/ESL: I taught English as a second language in Japan for four years, to students in public elementary school and junior high school, as well as tutoring adult learners in both one on one and in group and school classroom settings, crafting lessons and conversational English lessons that meets the needs of my students, creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere where speaking and learning can take place. Japanese: I have 10+ years of experience studying the language myself and teaching the language to other Japanese language learners. I have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Exam level N2.
