Hi, I’m Allisa! I’m a licensed special educator in Oregon with a master’s degree in special education and over 8 years of classroom teaching experience.

I specialize in supporting students who need help with executive functioning, study skills, reading, and writing - especially those with IEPs, 504 plans, ADHD, or learning differences. My goal is to help students not just complete assignments, but actually understand how to approach their work with more confidence and independence.

In my classroom experience, I worked with high school students across a range of abilities, providing both academic support and IEP case management. I also have experience working one-on-one with students, as well as in small group settings, and have volunteered in elementary reading support programs.

My approach is practical, supportive, and individualized. I break tasks into manageable steps, help students build systems that work for them, and focus on real-world skills like organization, time management, and written communication.

In addition to my teaching background, I’ve stayed closely connected to student support systems through ongoing professional development in reading instruction, assessments, and disability law. I also bring a parent perspective, having navigated the 504 process and college planning, which gives me additional insight into how to support students and families.
