As an experienced educator with a background in high school teaching, college-level instruction, and athletic training, I bring a well-rounded, real-world approach to science and health tutoring. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and a Master’s degree in Human Performance. I currently teach high school science and career technical education (CTE) courses while also serving as an adjunct professor of medical terminology at a local community college. My diverse teaching experience spans traditional classroom settings, hands-on lab instruction, and one-on-one academic support for students of all ages.

For over a decade, I’ve helped students succeed in subjects such as biology, anatomy & physiology, and medical terminology. I’m especially passionate about helping students connect complex scientific concepts to real-life applications in healthcare and human performance. Whether I'm preparing a high school student for an anatomy exam or helping a pre-nursing student master medical terminology, my goal is always to build confidence, deepen understanding, and foster independent thinking.
My tutoring style is encouraging, structured, and responsive to each student's learning style. I use visuals, practice questions, and everyday analogies to make learning engaging and memorable. I’ve worked with students from middle school to adult learners and enjoy adapting my approach to meet the individual needs of each learner. If you're looking for a supportive, knowledgeable tutor who brings both academic expertise and real-world healthcare experience to the table, I’d be honored to help you reach your goals.

Epidemiology

Epidemiology

I have completed graduate-level coursework in epidemiology as part of my Master of Science in Human Performance and current PhD studies in Health and Human Performance. My background includes applying epidemiological principles to study health trends, injury patterns, and disease prevention in both athletic and general populations. I also teach topics related to public health, healthcare systems, and disease tracking in my college and high school courses. My focus is on helping students understand how data informs decision-making in health sciences and real-world applications.
Nutrition

Nutrition

I am a certified personal trainer with a master’s degree in human performance and extensive experience teaching health and nutrition concepts to high school and college students. I have taught sports nutrition, general nutrition, and wellness courses, focusing on evidence-based strategies for performance, weight management, and overall health. As a former athletic trainer, I bring a practical understanding of how nutrition supports injury prevention and recovery. My goal is to help students build confidence in applying nutrition principles to real-life situations.
