My name is Sara, and I’m a certified K–8 elementary education teacher with specialized experience in literacy, ELL (English Language Learners), and special education. My passion is connecting with each student individually and adapting my instruction to meet their unique learning needs.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Western Washington University, where I focused on Literacy, Language, and Culture. I earned teaching endorsements in:
Elementary Education (K–8)
Reading
ELL
I also began a Master’s in Math Education (K–6) through Western Governors University.
Most of my classroom experience has been in Special Education (K–5) within public schools. I’ve supported students with a variety of learning and behavioral needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and emotional/behavioral disabilities. I believe deeply in making learning accessible, supportive, and joyful—especially for students who have struggled in traditional settings.
In addition to special education, I’ve taught reading, writing, and math to students across all elementary grade levels. I also have experience working with bilingual students and teaching English to learners abroad. I love discovering the unique stories and strengths each child brings to our sessions.
If you think I may be a good fit for your family, I’d be honored to connect and support your child’s growth.
Note: I’m currently accepting a limited number of students due to health considerations, so please feel free to reach out to check my availability.
