I am a licensed educator with 12 years of classroom teaching experience working with elementary students. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Instructional Design. Throughout my teaching career, I have helped students build strong academic foundations in reading, writing, mathematics, and overall learning skills. I have worked with students at a variety of elementary grade levels, supporting them in developing confidence, independence, and a positive attitude toward learning.
My teaching experience includes supporting students in reading comprehension, writing skills, foundational literacy, and elementary mathematics. I have experience using structured literacy approaches, including CKLA curriculum, to help students strengthen their reading abilities and become more confident learners. In math, I focus on building conceptual understanding, strengthening problem-solving skills, and helping students develop strategies that make challenging concepts easier to understand. I believe students learn best when instruction is personalized, encouraging, and connected to their individual learning needs.
Over the past 12 years, I have taught elementary students in a classroom setting and supported learners with a wide range of abilities and academic needs. I enjoy working one-on-one with students because it allows me to identify areas for growth and provide targeted instruction that helps each student succeed. My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building the confidence they need to become successful readers, writers, mathematicians, and lifelong learners.
