I am a registered nurse with over four years of clinical experience and a Master of Science in Nursing in Nursing Informatics from Western Governors University. I am currently enrolled in a post-master’s program to become a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. My clinical background includes work in post-anesthesia recovery, public health clinics, home health, and hospice, which has given me a broad understanding of how nursing concepts translate into real clinical practice.
I began tutoring during nursing school and continued helping other nursing and pre-nursing students as I progressed professionally. Most of my experience has been one-on-one tutoring, particularly in pharmacology, pathophysiology, mental health topics, and general nursing coursework. I tend to focus on what is high-yield and clinically relevant, and I am comfortable being direct about what students do and do not need to spend time on.
My approach is practical and structured. I break concepts down clearly, focus on patterns and reasoning rather than memorization, and work through questions methodically. I adjust my explanations based on where a student is getting stuck and keep sessions focused on the areas that will make the biggest difference. I aim to be efficient, clear, and realistic in how I help students prepare for coursework and exams.
