I am a registered nurse with over four years of clinical experience and a Master of Science in Nursing in Nursing Informatics from Western Governors University. I am currently enrolled in a post-master’s program to become a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. My clinical background includes work in post-anesthesia recovery, public health clinics, home health, and hospice, which has given me a broad understanding of how nursing concepts translate into real clinical practice.

I began tutoring during nursing school and continued helping other nursing and pre-nursing students as I progressed professionally. Most of my experience has been one-on-one tutoring, particularly in pharmacology, pathophysiology, mental health topics, and general nursing coursework. I tend to focus on what is high-yield and clinically relevant, and I am comfortable being direct about what students do and do not need to spend time on.

My approach is practical and structured. I break concepts down clearly, focus on patterns and reasoning rather than memorization, and work through questions methodically. I adjust my explanations based on where a student is getting stuck and keep sessions focused on the areas that will make the biggest difference. I aim to be efficient, clear, and realistic in how I help students prepare for coursework and exams.

Approved Subjects

Anatomy

Anatomy

I’m a Master’s-prepared Registered Nurse with a strong background in anatomy as it applies to nursing and healthcare. I completed multiple semesters of anatomy and physiology with labs and continue to use this knowledge throughout my clinical practice and advanced nursing training. I focus on helping students understand anatomy through structure-function relationships rather than memorization, so the material actually makes sense. My goal is to help students feel confident with anatomy and prepared for future nursing and health science courses.
NCLEX

NCLEX

I’m a Master’s-prepared Registered Nurse with over four years of clinical experience and extensive experience helping students prepare for NCLEX-style exams. I focus on teaching how to analyze questions, identify what is truly being asked, and eliminate incorrect options using clinical reasoning. Rather than memorization, I help students build confidence by understanding prioritization, safety principles, and common NCLEX patterns. My goal is to reduce test anxiety and help students approach the NCLEX feeling prepared and in control.
Nursing

Nursing

I’m a Master’s-prepared Registered Nurse with over four years of clinical nursing experience. I’ve worked closely with nursing students at multiple stages of their education, helping them understand core nursing concepts, improve clinical reasoning, and feel more confident on exams and NCLEX-style questions. I focus on connecting classroom material to real-world nursing practice so students can see how concepts apply at the bedside. My goal is to create a supportive, low-pressure learning environment where students can build confidence and strengthen their nursing foundation.
Pharmacology

Pharmacology

I successfully took one semester of Pharmacology and received an A in the course at the start of my nursing program. I have continued to use this knowledge in all courses subsequent to pharmacology and am confident both administering and teaching about medications.
Physiology

Physiology

I’m a Master’s-prepared Registered Nurse with a strong understanding of physiology as it relates to nursing and clinical practice. I completed multiple semesters of physiology with lab components and continue to apply these concepts in real-world patient care and advanced nursing coursework. I help students understand how body systems work together by focusing on key mechanisms and patterns rather than memorizing details in isolation. My goal is to make physiology feel logical and manageable so students can apply it confidently on exams and in future nursing courses.
