Covid 19 had made it difficult for me to teach traditionally in a classroom, so I am branching out and trying something new by teaching safely at a distance with you! Whether it's extra help with your high school curriculum, preparing for college or a career, or further development with essential skills, I have experience in teaching multiple subjects to thousands of students of vast abilities and skills. My positive attitude and interactions are a reflection of the joy I experience while spending my time working with students and families on a daily basis.
I hold an English Degree with a focus in Linguistics and a Master's Degree in the Arts of Teaching. As a full-time teacher, I have taught English Language Arts for grades 9-12 for 15 years, as well as other subjects like yearbook/journalism, leadership and student government, essential skills classes, college and career readiness courses, advised extra-curricular activities, and coached team sports. My specialty is English Language Development, writing mechanics and grammar, literature and composition, speaking and listening skills development, and project-based learning and assessments.
