I’m Kat—a Portland-based engineer by day and a math tutor since 2015, with experience tutoring on Wyzant and independently. I have an Engineering degree from UT Arlington (with minors in Math and Aerospace), and I bring real-world problem-solving into every session.

When I had my last session with Kat, we went over converting between place values, which I was having a hard time with via IXL. I just love Kat's easy going nature and how she makes math enjoyable, rather than a chore.

Kat is one of the best math tutors I have ever had. I started taking lessons with Kat over the summer to help me brush up my Algebra 2 skills and stay ahead in my AP Pre calc class. She very patient when she is asked questions and she answers them all very thoroughly. She also provides so much extra knowledge that has not only helped me in my math class but also while taking my SAT. along with that she makes class super interesting and engaging which I absolutely love! I highly recommend hiring Kat is a tutor because it is something you will not regret, and with her as your tutor great results come!
