Every lesson is built around what the student needs. In writing sessions, we work on organizing ideas, making a clear argument, developing a natural voice, and cleaning up grammar and style. When something needs work, we practice it together during the lesson so the student can handle it on their own next time.
I enjoy creative writing most of all. I read a lot of fantasy, sci-fi, and history, and I like helping students turn a rough idea into a finished story.
For spoken English, I help students sound more natural and confident. We work on pacing, rhythm, intonation, and the everyday phrases native speakers use to organize what they say.
