I am a Master’s student in Quantum Science and Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Physics at the University of Geneva. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and computer science, and my goal is to make these subjects feel intuitive and approachable rather than intimidating.

I have been a 3Blue1Brown fan for many years and try to follow that approach: intuitively building a real understanding of the ideas and guiding students so they can work things out for themselves instead of just memorizing steps or blindly following formulas. I greatly enjoy teaching and I like to keep a patient and encouraging atmosphere, where students feel comfortable asking questions. I also believe that making mistakes is essential to gradually becoming more confident.

Last semester, I was a teaching assistant for a first-year university course in Optics and Thermodynamics for Criminal Sciences students from the University of Lausanne (UNIL), for which I received excellent feedback from the students. This gave me valuable experience adapting explanations to different levels and needs. I completed my studies in French and am a native speaker of Spanish and English, so I am equally comfortable tutoring in any of these three languages. Whether a student needs help with problem-solving or with gaining a deeper understanding of the material, I aim to make tutoring supportive and effective.

Approved Subjects

Calculus

Calculus

I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Quantum Science and Engineering at EPFL after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Physics at the University of Geneva. Calculus has been a fundamental tool throughout my education, forming the mathematical basis for subjects such as classical mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, statistical physics, and many advanced engineering courses. Years of applying differential and integral calculus in both coursework and problem-solving have given me a strong understanding of the subject and its applications. My background enables me to help students with everything from the fundamentals of calculus to more advanced topics encountered in university-level mathematics and physics.
Physics

Physics

I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Quantum Science and Engineering at EPFL after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Physics at the University of Geneva. My education has provided me with a comprehensive background in classical mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, optics, quantum mechanics, solid state physics, and particle physics. I also worked as a teaching assistant for a first-year university course in Optics and Thermodynamics at the University of Lausanne (UNIL), where I gained valuable experience helping students master challenging physics concepts. My background allows me to tutor students from introductory high school physics through AP Physics and early university-level courses.
Quantum Physics

Quantum Physics

I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Quantum Science and Engineering at EPFL after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Physics at the University of Geneva. My coursework has given me strong training in quantum mechanics and closely related areas, including quantum information and quantum computing, quantum optics, quantum sensing and metrology, semiconductor devices, and nanoelectronics. My background combines a solid theoretical foundation with experimental exposure to the technologies used in contemporary quantum engineering, particularly solid-state platforms.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Quantum Science and Engineering at EPFL after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Physics at the University of Geneva. My education has required extensive use of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, functions, calculus, and mathematical problem-solving, providing a strong foundation for the topics tested on the SAT Math section. Through years of solving quantitative and experimental problems in physics and engineering, I have developed the analytical skills and mathematical fluency needed to help students succeed on standardized exams. My background enables me to support students preparing for the SAT by strengthening both their mathematical understanding and their problem-solving abilities.
Thermodynamics

Thermodynamics

I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Quantum Science and Engineering at EPFL after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Physics at the University of Geneva. My background includes coursework in statistical physics and several areas where thermodynamics appears repeatedly, which has given me a strong understanding of the subject from both a theoretical and practical perspective. I also worked as a teaching assistant for a first-year university course in Optics and Thermodynamics for students at the University of Lausanne (UNIL), which gave me direct experience with the material in a teaching setting.
