Aviation has become one of my greatest passions, and I enjoy helping others build the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed as pilots. As an active pilot, I've experienced the challenges of preparing for FAA knowledge exams firsthand and understand how overwhelming the volume of information can feel. My goal as a tutor is to help students go beyond memorizing test questions by developing a strong understanding of aerodynamics, weather, airspace, regulations, navigation, aircraft systems, performance, and aeronautical decision-making. Whether you're preparing for your Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, or another FAA knowledge exam, I strive to make complex topics easier to understand through practical examples and real-world applications.
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student's learning style and goals. I believe the best learning happens when students feel comfortable asking questions and working through concepts at their own pace. Rather than simply providing answers, I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind the material so they leave each lesson feeling more confident—not only for their written exam, but also as safer, more knowledgeable pilots.
In addition to aviation, I also tutor accounting and business subjects. My professional background includes several years in accounting, working with organizations of various sizes in roles involving financial reporting, reconciliations, ERP systems, and process improvement. That experience has strengthened my ability to explain technical concepts clearly and logically, a skill that carries over naturally into my aviation instruction. Whether we're discussing debits and credits or cross-country flight planning, my goal is always the same: to help students truly understand the material and enjoy the learning process.
