I'm a recent graduate of Oregon Episcopal School heading to the University of Chicago this fall, where I'll be studying Public Policy with pre-med coursework. I scored a 35 on the ACT and earned a 4 on the AP Calculus BC exam, alongside coursework in Advanced Physics (Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism), Statistics with R, and other advanced math and science classes. Because I've been through the test prep and advanced math process myself relatively recently, I understand both the content and the mindset that helps students improve their scores efficiently.

My tutoring experience spans both peer mentoring and structured test prep. Starting sophomore year, I worked one-on-one with students through my school's peer mentoring program, and I later tutored peers in Oregon Episcopal School's Mathematics program. From 2024 to 2025, on the basis on my PSAT score, I was invited by the College Board to lead small group and one-on-one Zoom lessons on schoolhouse.world, a free peer tutoring platform created by Sal Khan of Khan Academy in partnership with the College Board. In that role, I developed personalized lesson plans for students preparing for the SAT and adapted my teaching style to each student's pace and learning gaps, whether I was working with a single student or a small group.

I focus on building real understanding rather than just memorizing formulas or shortcuts, since I've found that students retain more and feel more confident on test day when they actually grasp the underlying concepts. I'm comfortable tutoring SAT and ACT prep across math and the broader test, as well as standalone math topics through calculus 1, and I tailor each session based on where a student is starting from and what their specific goals are.
