I earned both my Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and my Master of Science in Global Medicine from the University of Southern California, and through my academic journey, I’ve developed a deep understanding of subjects like biology, anatomy, and physiology. More importantly, I’ve learned how to break down complex ideas into clear, approachable concepts that students can truly understand.
Over the years, I have worked with students ranging from 5 to 25 years old in a variety of settings, including one-on-one tutoring, small-group sessions, and peer mentorship. This wide range of experience has helped me become very adaptable—I understand that a 7-year-old learning the basics needs a very different approach than a college or medical student tackling advanced material. Whether I’m helping a younger student build confidence in foundational skills or supporting an older student through challenging coursework, I always tailor my approach to meet them where they are.
My tutoring style is supportive, patient, and highly individualized. I strive to create a comfortable environment where students feel safe asking questions and making mistakes—because that’s where real learning happens. I focus on helping students understand the “why” behind concepts, not just memorizing information. I often use active recall, step-by-step explanations, and real-life examples to make learning more engaging and meaningful. I also work with students to develop strong study habits and problem-solving strategies so they can grow more confident and independent over time.
What I love most about tutoring is building relationships with my students and seeing their confidence grow. I understand that learning can sometimes feel overwhelming, and I take pride in being someone who can make that process feel more manageable, encouraging, and even enjoyable. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them feel capable, supported, and proud of their progress.
