I have a BSc in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, MSc in Digital Signal Processing and a PhD in Information Theory. So I have hands on learning experience at the highest level of formal education levels. My last job was at Intel Corporation as a Research Scientist.

While pursuing my PhD at Lancaster University (in the United Kingdom), I tutored undergraduate students in computer programming and information technology classes for 2 years. I was teaching in classrooms of 20 to 25 people at the time.

While I was a university student, I was a private tutor to three middle school students (ages 11 to 16) teaching math, science, and English for 4 years. I was tutoring each student on a one on one basis, which I found to work best in terms of achieving learning outcomes and academic success for my students.

I also have a 14 year old kid to whom I teach math and science on a regular and voluntary basis. I also help my kid with STEM school projects that involve programming and maker projects.

While working at Intel, I voluntarily delivered talks to high school students on various STEM projects I completed in engineering to inspire them and help them with choosing their careers in the future.

I love sharing my knowledge and using my experience in learning and teaching to remove roadblocks in front of young students to help them succeed, and believe teaching is one of the most rewarding and meaningful occupations for me.

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I supported students with classwork, exam preparation, and the topics they found most challenging. I designed personalized exercises for each student to keep them engaged, build their confidence first, and then gradually help them progress. I also try to gamify the subjects as much as possible and connect them to real-world applications so students understand not just what they are learning, but why it matters.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I worked closely with students on their coursework, exams, and the areas where they needed the most help. I created tailored exercises for each student to encourage engagement, strengthen confidence, and then guide them toward higher levels of understanding. I also make an effort to gamify learning and tie concepts to real-world relevance so students grasp both the what and the why behind the material.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

I helped students with their assignments, exam preparation, and the subjects they struggled with most. To keep them engaged, I developed personalized exercises that first built confidence and encouragement, then gradually moved them forward in the subject. I also try to make learning more interactive through gamification and by showing real-world relevance, so students see why the material matters in addition to what they need to learn.
Geometry

Geometry

I helped students with their classwork, exams as well as areas where they struggled the most. I created personalized exercises for each student to make sure they were engaged and encouraged first and moved them upwards after building their confidence in the subject. I try to gamify the subjects I teach as much as possible and provide real-world relevance to inspire the students and to show them the "why" as besides just the "what" aspect of what I am teaching. Geometry is particularly a good fit for providing such guidance.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

I assisted students with classwork, exams, and the areas they found most difficult. I created customized exercises for each student to ensure they stayed engaged, gained confidence, and advanced step by step once they felt more comfortable with the material. I also aim to gamify the subjects I teach and relate them to real-world situations so students understand both the purpose and the content of what they are learning.

The best tutor who made a difference for my kid.

Cagri has been an excellent geometry tutor. As a parent, I really value how patient, supportive, and encouraging he is. He explains concepts clearly, takes time to make sure the student truly understands the material, and builds confidence step by step. Geometry can be challenging, but Cagri has a great way of making it feel approachable and manageable. He is knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely cares about helping students succeed. I would highly recommend him to any parent looking for a strong and dependable tutor.
