Hello! My name is Kaylee, and I am currently a graduate student studying Nutrition and Dietetics at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Oregon State University in 2025. My academic training has given me a strong background in biology, physiology, metabolism, and nutrition science, and I regularly work with scientific research and evidence-based health information in my graduate studies.

I specialize in tutoring biology, nutrition, physiology, and health science courses. These subjects often involve complex systems and detailed material, so my goal is to help students break down challenging concepts into clear, manageable steps. I focus on helping students truly understand the material rather than memorizing information so they can apply their knowledge with confidence.

In addition to my academic training, I have experience supporting student learning in multiple settings. During my undergraduate studies at Oregon State University, I worked as a student advisor in the College of Health, where I helped guide students through coursework, academic planning, and study strategies. I also worked as a sports dietitian assistant, where I helped communicate nutrition concepts to student athletes and supported nutrition education efforts.

My tutoring approach focuses on explaining concepts step-by-step, connecting ideas across topics, and helping students develop effective study strategies for science courses. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through difficult material.

I have experience working with high school and college-level students and enjoy helping students prepare for exams, review course material, and build confidence in science subjects. I look forward to helping students strengthen their understanding and achieve their academic goals.

Approved Subjects

Anatomy

Anatomy

I have a strong background in human anatomy through my coursework in nutrition and dietetics, where I studied the structure and function of major body systems. My training emphasizes understanding how anatomical structures support physiological processes such as digestion, metabolism, and circulation. As a graduate student in nutrition, I apply anatomy knowledge to real-world health and clinical contexts, which helps me explain complex concepts in a clear and practical way. I enjoy helping students connect anatomical structures to how the body actually functions so they can better understand and remember the material.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I have a strong background in chemistry through my coursework in nutrition and dietetics, where I studied general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry. My academic training focuses on applying chemistry concepts to real-world systems such as metabolism, molecular structure, and chemical reactions in the human body. I have experience breaking down complex topics like stoichiometry, atomic structure, and chemical bonding into clear, understandable explanations. My goal as a tutor is to help students build confidence in chemistry while developing strong problem-solving skills.
Nutrition

Nutrition

I am a graduate student in Nutrition and Dietetics at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Oregon State University. My academic training provides a strong foundation in biology, physiology, metabolism, and human nutrition. I have experience helping students understand complex health science concepts through academic advising and nutrition education roles. My tutoring approach focuses on breaking down challenging material into clear, manageable concepts while helping students build confidence in science courses.
Personal Statements

Personal Statements

I help students develop strong personal statements for college, graduate school, scholarships, and professional programs. Through my academic and leadership experiences, I have written and refined numerous personal statements and application essays, learning how to clearly communicate goals, experiences, and motivations. I focus on helping students structure their stories, strengthen their voice, and present their experiences in a compelling and authentic way. My approach includes brainstorming, outlining, editing for clarity, and refining essays to ensure they effectively reflect each student’s unique background and goals.
Psychology

Psychology

I have a strong foundation in psychology through my undergraduate and graduate coursework, where I studied topics such as human behavior, cognition, and social influences on decision-making. My academic experience has helped me understand how psychological principles shape learning, motivation, and behavior. I focus on helping students understand key concepts clearly while connecting theories to real-life examples. My goal is to make psychology approachable and engaging while helping students build confidence in the subject.
