Hi! I’m a patient, supportive tutor with a PhD in psychology, specializing in academic motivation and study strategies. I work with elementary school, middle school, high school, college, and adult learners, especially students who feel stuck or overwhelmed.

I focus on study skills, research methods, and statistics, and help students break down complex material, build effective strategies, and gain confidence.

I specialize in working with neurodivergent students, including those with ADHD and dyslexia. As someone who personally overcame these challenges while earning my PhD, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience. I help students find approaches that actually work for how they learn.

My sessions are structured, encouraging, and tailored to each student, with the goal of building independence and long-term success.

Study Skills

I hold a PhD in Psychology, with research and peer-reviewed publications focused on study skills and academic motivation. That academic foundation directly informs how I coach — I bring evidence-based strategies to every session, grounded in how learning and motivation actually work rather than generic tips. My coaching focuses on the skills students need to succeed long-term: time management, organization, active study strategies, and academic confidence. I work with high school and college students to build personalized systems that fit how they actually think and learn — not one-size-fits-all templates. My approach emphasizes self-awareness first. Before introducing any tools or techniques, I help students identify where they're getting stuck and why. From there, we build habits together — things like breaking large tasks into steps, using planners consistently, and shifting from passive re-reading to retrieval-based study methods that actually move information into long-term memory. I have a particular interest in the motivational and emotional side of academics — helping students who feel behind, overwhelmed, or disengaged reconnect with their own capability. I believe that sustainable academic success comes from students trusting their own process, not just following someone else's system.
