Greetings all! I’m someone who loves to share my knowledge and passion of US Government and US History with anyone who will listen. I want to do my small part in helping people of all ages become better citizens through an intricate understanding of how our system of government works and help them identify which levers they should pull to enact the changes they wish to see.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Government with a minor in Criminal Justice from California State University: Sacramento. I also have a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Portland State University. Furthermore, I work with Local, State, and Federal government officials daily in my professional capacity as a Senior Contract Administrator.

I led study groups and tutored my fellow classmates all throughout college. It was these experiences where I discovered just how much I enjoy tutoring. There is no greater satisfaction than seeing the look of, “I get it now” on someone else’s face. My tutoring approach is a three-level pyramid.

The first level is the base of the pyramid. In this stage, I review the required reading material along with the student. The next level is the middle of the pyramid. In this level I ask questions to get a sense of comprehension of the required reading. The third level is the top of the pyramid. In this final level I ask questions that go beyond the required reading. The purpose of this level is to check for true understanding of the concept being discussed and to ensure the student isn’t merely memorizing and reciting facts.
