My name is Bradley (Brad) B. I have 20 years of experience teaching various classes in Biology at the University level. In that time, I've taught over 2000 students. I am very passionate about teaching. A central part of my teaching philosophy is to work with students as individuals, as students learn in different ways. I feel it is important to understand what an individual student needs in terms of how they learn best, so they maximize their understanding of the material. I am a strong advocate for my students and invest all I can into their success.
I have a Ph.D. in Biology. I also conduct scientific research focused on how animals from aquatic environments respond to stressful changes in their environment. I feel this is particularly important in the era of climate change. I have taught Human Anatomy and Physiology, Introduction to Organismal Physiology, Comparative Animal Physiology and Animal Behavior. I have also taught a course in Ethical Practices in the Life Sciences. This last course underscores my emphasis on ethical treatment of animals, human subjects and society in general.
I am a lifelong learner. I am curious by nature and like to foster curiosity in my students. I'm an avid reader and love to spend as much time in nature as I can. I would love to hear from you if you think I might be a good fit as a tutor. I wish you all the success in your academic pursuits!
