I’m Beth! I’m currently completing my special education teaching degree. I have worked in education for 10+ years in various ways. I have worked in a special education classroom teaching groups of students as well as one-on-one. I implemented a reading curriculum for a PK classroom. Many of the 3-4 year olds left that class with the ability to read short picture books. I’m Beth! I’m currently completing my special education teaching degree. I have worked in education for 10+ years in various ways. I have worked in a special education classroom teaching groups of students as well as one-on-one. I implemented a reading curriculum for a PK classroom. Many of the 3-4 year olds left that class with the ability to read short picture books. I tutored a 6th grade student with a learning disability in writing and we raised his writing skills by a grade level. I have also run an afterschool program where kids learn outdoor skills and environmental science. I’ve developed learning plans for grades PK-8th in reading, writing, math, science, and art. My lessons lean on real world understanding and hands-on learning along with direct instruction. I also use student interest to create lessons that are exciting and individualized.
