Experienced Digital SAT Tutor | Math, Reading & Writing

Gautam S.

With over 3 years of SAT tutoring experience, including 2 years at a professional test-prep company, I help students improve through a systematic, targeted approach. I have extensively studied the Digital SAT, breaking down its question types and common patterns to teach effective strategies for both Math and Reading and Writing.

I break the SAT down into specific question types and teach students the strategies best suited to each. In Math, I emphasize understanding the underlying concepts and recognizing patterns that make problems easier to solve. In Reading and Writing, I focus on applying grammar rules, interpreting passages accurately, and understanding the distinctions between correct answers and tempting alternatives.

My own experience preparing for the SAT taught me the value of identifying weaknesses and practicing strategically. I scored a 1520 and 1550 on the SAT and earned a perfect Math score twice. I graduated from Oregon State University with degrees in Molecular Biology and Computer Science.

In our first session, I assess your goals, current scores, strengths, and areas for improvement to develop a personalized plan. I tailor lessons to each student's needs and focus our time on the skills and question types that will make the biggest difference in their performance. My goal is to help students build lasting skills, approach challenging questions with confidence, and reach their target scores.
