Hi! I am a full-time, award-winning writing professor at New York University, living in Portland, teaching now on zoom.

I graduated from Vassar College, received an MFA-Creative Writing from NYU, and I am also a licensed psychotherapist (NYU) and teen coach. I have tutored for over 20 years--primarily at the HS, college, and graduate levels. During summers, I work at the NYU writing center, helping undergraduates both complete academic work & in addition to applying to graduate school. I have an entire business devoted to helping students get into the best schools in the country (college & graduate).

I develop a strong rapport with students of all backgrounds and have worked with every kind of student population, with plenty of experience working with neurodivergent students. I make learning enjoyable and meaningful, empowering students of all ages to become confident, focused, and deeply-thoughtful writers. I can prepare your student to write at any level or for any assignment or test and help them gain admission into the most competitive schools in the world based on the excellence of their application. I help students surpass their assumed potential and flourish, while developing both writing expertise and earned confidence.

I can help bring even middle schoolers to basic proficiency and understanding of college-level writing techniques.
