Hi! I’m Brianna, a psychology student with a passion for helping kids build strong reading and writing skills. I hold an AA in Applied Psychology, graduated with a 3.9 GPA, and am currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in psychology at Oregon Tech, where I maintain a 3.9 GPA. I plan to become a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), which fuels my interest in early literacy and language development.

I specialize in early literacy, phonics, reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and writing. I look forward to working one-on-one with students and using structured, research-based methods to make learning fun and effective. I’ve gained experience observing effective reading and literacy strategies through educational videos and online sessions, which helps me provide engaging, personalized instruction.

Whether your child is struggling with decoding, comprehension, or just wants to improve their reading and writing skills, I am patient, encouraging, and committed to helping them reach their goals. I welcome any suggestions or resources that students and parents would like to contribute. I’m happy to help and will respond quickly. Feel free to contact me anytime with questions or to set up a tutoring session.

I help students understand grammar rules in a clear, simple, and supportive way. With a strong academic background and a 3.9 GPA, I emphasize sentence structure, parts of speech, punctuation, and proper usage. I focus on helping students apply grammar skills to both reading and writing. My approach builds accuracy, confidence, and long-term skill development.
Phonics

Phonics

I provide explicit phonics instruction for beginning readers using structured, evidence-based methods. I have studied effective phonics and decoding strategies through professional literacy training videos and observations. My background in psychology supports my understanding of how children process language and sounds. I am passionate about helping students build strong foundational reading skills.
Reading

Reading

I specialize in early literacy, reading comprehension, and helping young learners build confidence with decoding and fluency. I hold an AA in Applied Psychology and am currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in psychology with a 3.9 GPA. I use structured, research-based reading strategies to support struggling readers and beginning learners. My goal is to make reading approachable, engaging, and confidence-building for every child.
Vocabulary

Vocabulary

I help students strengthen vocabulary through reading, context clues, and word-building strategies. I focus on improving both word recognition and meaning to support comprehension. My interests in language development and future work as an SLP guide my instruction. I aim to make learning new words engaging and meaningful for students.
Writing

Writing

I support students with sentence building, paragraph writing, organization, and clarity. My psychology background helps me adapt instruction to different learning styles and confidence levels. I guide students through the writing process step-by-step, from brainstorming to final revision. My goal is to make writing feel structured, manageable, and rewarding.
