I am trained in the Science of Reading and was the dyslexia coordinator for my school for two years. The Science of Reading focuses on a strict scope and sequence to teach phonics. I have used UFLI curriculum as a intervention for students who are struggling to read in 3rd and 4th grade and as sequenced program in grades 1st and 2nd.
My patient spirit and love for learning is contagious and will help motivate any learner. Over the years, I have worked with many different kinds of students including those on IEPs and 504s. I supported special education students in my classroom and helped them to succeed at their level.
