I am an aspiring economist with a strong interest in mathematics, science, and statistics. Over the last six years of high school, I worked to hone my mathematical skills by taking extra classes in mathematics, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry outside of school. Later, I chose to pursue higher education in economics, where I studied advanced subjects such as algebra, mathematics for economists, statistics, and banking.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the American University of Central Asia, and two Master of Arts degrees: one in Economic Governance and Development from the OSCE Academy, and another in International Policy and Development from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
I have previously worked with the Ministry of Finance, where I served as the Head of National Grants and Policies Evaluation, monitoring government commitments to the European Union. I later joined the Biruni Institute, an association of Afghan economists, to research aid effectiveness in Afghanistan. This was followed by fellowships focused on labor-force participation and economic growth.
I am now focused on expanding my knowledge of the U.S. economy and contributing to solutions for distribution gaps, labor market issues, income inequality, and poverty. However, my love for mathematics brought me here, to engage with students and help them with their math studies. I previously taught mathematics to secondary school students for two years. Beyond that, I have mentored both high school and university students on career development and leadership at various points in my life, and I have coached committees on multiple occasions.
