My name is Ethan L, and I am a psychology student finishing up my senior year in college. I will soon have a bachelor’s degree and plan on going on to getting a master’s degree in psychology.
Ever since I was a child, I excelled in academics, completing advanced university college courses by the end of the 6th grade which were honors geometry, algebra 2, pre-calculus, and differential and integral calculus. I was on track to graduate with my bachelor’s in electronic engineering by the young age of 18. Due to some life changes I ended up switching majors to psychology and started working as a teacher’s assistant at Oregon State University while maintaining a 3.58 GPA. I assisted in teachers teaching computer science, electrical engineering, and data structures. I have about 3 years of experience providing individual tutoring to children at an elementary school in math, algebra, English, and a local Chinese church. I have also taken the GRE’s and scored 163 in Verbal Reasoning, 169 in Quantitative Reasoning, and 3.5 in Analytical Writing. On the SAT’s I scored 1560.
I am a gentle and effective tutor who has decided to take a break from school at this time and just focus on tutoring. I speak Mandarin from my years of going to China and competing in professional Ping-Pong as an adolescent. I am a bit rusty in my Mandarin but can hold a conversation. I am most proud of my top-notch writing skills, my ability to work well with any personality, skill level, or learning style.
