Many adults and returning piano players struggle with self-doubt, perfectionism, fear of mistakes. and knowing how to practice in a productive way. Overcoming these obstacles are as important as learning chords, scales and theory. My method of teaching integrates real life with learning piano. I help students integrate their music into their life, not just one more thing to do, but a lifelong experience of self discovery through the education and practice of piano and music in general.
Lessons are designed for adults who may feel stuck, out of practice, or discouraged by comparison to others, or to their past abilities. Instead of pushing through tension or chasing unrealistic standards, we focus on building confidence, consistency, and ease at the piano.
Alongside technique and repertoire, I help students develop practical practice habits, a healthier mindset around mistakes, and a more supportive relationship with the instrument. The goal is steady progress, musical connection, and a sense of freedom—without pressure or burnout.
