I graduated with a degree in Education from Pacific University Oregon. I am in my second year of teaching. I have experience in 1st grade for my student teaching, as well as 5th grade for my first year and 3rd grade for my second year. I am very energetic and experienced in presenting fun and engaging learning strategies to all students. Each student is a unique individual and I find there are so many ways to encourage and motivate each type of learner. I love to teach through books, and build skills and strategies through relevant and fun ways. I aspire to build a love for learning in students and encourage them to continue to learn and grow each and everyday.
Experienced in Journeys Reading curriculum, which encompasses so many resources, skills and strategies to help beginning, and even advanced readers continue to build knowledge. I am also continuing my education through independent book studies of trauma informed learning, and continuing to take trainings through my school.
I have a variety of experience through small groups, and one on one reading strategy sessions. I have been trained in ECRI, a strategy to encompass phonemic awareness, vocabulary, and other reading strategies into daily routine.
I am a 3rd grade teacher who is excited about learning and is looking to help support and build skills for success for all students!
