I am a recently retired middle school language arts and social studies teacher. I taught for 28 years, and I loved doing it. In my language arts classes, I taught many styles of writing including narrative, argumentative, expository, journal writing, responses to literature, and poetry. It was very nice to get to meet Jeff. He helped me with some of my grammar mistakes that I make. And it was nice that he gave me different prompts to choose from, so I didn’t have to do something that I might now have been comfortable with. And I got to know Jeff a little bit.

Jeff is helping my 5th-grader with vocabulary, essay writing, and reading comprehension. Along with teaching new concepts, reinforcing concepts learned in the class, he does homework help. He is very flexible with timings and has a unique way of teaching. In between sessions whenever needed, he helps out via email as well. His response time is awesome. My kid really enjoys working with him.

Mr. Wyman has a gift for assessing the student understanding what attributes require polishing. His approach to teaching builds trust that allows the student to express him/herself uninhibitedly in their writing assignments. Once the assigned work is reviewed, Mr. Wyman asks questions pertaining to the work that challenges the student, and prepares them to express themselves accurately and thoroughly moving forward. He is actually a life coach instilling confidence in oneself via the mode of writing.
