Hello! I’m Megan—a Writing Coach and Philosophy Professor with extensive experience helping students and professionals meet their goals with clarity and confidence.

I am a former tenured professor of philosophy and the author of three books and over a dozen peer-reviewed academic articles. Over the course of my career, I’ve taught both undergraduate and graduate courses, served as a private philosophy tutor for students of all ages, and designed individualized curricula for homeschooled students.

I’ve spent thousands of hours working with writers from a wide range of backgrounds: high school seniors crafting college admissions essays, undergraduates developing strong term papers, graduate students completing theses and dissertations, and professionals sharpening their writing and speaking skills. My approach is both practical and developmental. I help students successfully complete the assignment at hand while also building the transferable skills they need for long-term academic and professional success.

I hold four degrees: a BA in English Literature, an MA in Women’s Studies, an MA in Philosophy, and a PhD in Philosophy. While I love scholarship and teaching, my favorite part of tutoring is the individualized work—watching confidence grow as students gain clarity, structure, and momentum.

I specialize in coaching and instruction for teens and adults with ADHD, with an approach that emphasizes structure, flexibility, and realistic strategies for focus, organization, and follow-through.

If you’re looking for a writing coach or philosophy tutor who combines rigorous expertise with compassionate, individualized support, I’d love to work with you. Please reach out with any questions!
