For the last 12 years, 10 of them at Pleasant Hill High School, I've dedicated myself to unlocking math and physics potential. I hold a Masters in Mathematics Education and a Bachelors in Physics and Math Teaching, and am a licensed teacher in both subjects. I tutor clients from middle school through university level in a comprehensive range of subjects. Whether it is for Algebra, Geometry, or even specialized college courses like PreCalculus and Statistics, my method goes beyond simple homework help. I focus on customizing a learning pathway for each client, specifically identifying and closing knowledge gaps to build true understanding. Over my career, I've gained experience providing specialized accommodations for clients with IEPs and 504 plans, and I also offer enrichment and extension for advanced and TAG clients. By integrating strategies to manage test anxiety, teach essential organizational and study skills, I build confidence that extends to every part of the learning experience. I can also provide expert guidance on calculator technology (TI, Desmos, and Numworks). My schedule is flexible, and I am punctual, professional, and promise frequent communication.
