I am a Sociology MA candidate with a 4.0 GPA and experience working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant where I support undergraduate students in mastering core sociological theories, research methods, and academic writing. I also work as a Americorps tutor where I tutor elementary and middle schoolers in Math and Language Arts. My background also includes a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and Sociology with a minor in Communication Studies. I believe that clear communication is essential to learning, so I guide students toward expressing complex ideas with confidence and precision. In each session I create a welcoming environment where questions are encouraged and every concept is tied back to practical outcomes.

Alongside my social science training I have completed over a dozen undergraduate courses in environmental science and sustainability. I have interned at NASA three times, contributing to projects on climate resilience, Earth observation satellites, and gender equity in STEM. Those space-focused experiences have shown me how critical the human dimension is to technical work and have inspired me to help students from technical fields connect with sociological thinking. Whether a future engineer is studying social impacts of space exploration or an environmental scientist is framing research questions about human behavior in changing ecosystems I draw on my NASA experience to make sociology vivid and relevant.

I take particular pleasure in helping STEM students encounter sociology for the first time. I know that for those studying data analytics engineering or physical sciences a social science perspective can transform how they approach global challenges. My goal is to build a thoughtful and collaborative space where students feel empowered to apply sociological insights to their scientific work and to future careers in space and environmental fields.

I am a Sociology MA candidate with a 4.0 GPA and extensive experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, where I guide undergraduates through sociological theories, research design, and academic writing. My academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and Sociology with a minor in Communication Studies, as well as over a dozen courses in environmental science and sustainability. I have completed three NASA internships focused on climate resilience, Earth observation satellites, and gender equity in STEM, applying qualitative and quantitative methods to real-world technical challenges. I specialize in helping STEM students integrate sociological perspectives into their work, making social theory accessible and relevant to their scientific and engineering pursuits.
