I have tutored and taught students in a variety of subjects finding programming to be my favorite to teach. I have tutored and taught students in a variety of subjects finding programming to be my favorite to teach. Programming gives students a whole new set of capabilities to build the ideas they have in their head, and I enjoy helping them grow their capabilities. My approach is centered around the goals of the student I'm teaching and I choose projects, concepts, and course material based on what the student is trying to achieve, whether this be a good grade in a class, a product they want to build, or breadth of knowledge they'd like to gain.

I have experience teaching students for languages including Python, Java, Javascript, C, C++, Scratch, and more with concepts ranging from Web Development, to Game Design, and even Chat-GPT API. I've taught ages as young as 6 all the way to adults.

As far as education goes, I have a Computer Science Bachelor's Degree from Sonoma State University and I'm a Certified Scrum Master. In my professional career I spent 4 years working for a Web Design Studio where I was promoted from Web Designer to Project Manager and finally to Technical Director. There I worked with hundreds of clients to improve their online marketing mainly through a websites. Before that I worked in QA for one of the largest startups for supplying AI training in the world as one of their first 50 employees. I'm also a certified ski instructor and love to get outdoors.

I take a goal centric approach when teaching students. I leverage a wide breadth of knowledge to personalize, projects, challenges, and concepts to whatever a student is trying to achieve. I've taught students from age 6 as well as many adults in languages including Python, Java, Scratch, and C++. I started my programming journey in AP computer science and since then I've earned a Bachelor's in Computer Science and worked in QA, and Web Design professionally being promoted as far as Technical Director at my previous position. I enjoy helping students work towards their goals and gain interest in a in a subject that is a large part of my life.

I've worked on over 200 websites for small businesses using platforms such as Squarespace, Wordpress, and Shopify. During this time I was the go-to technical expert working heavily on CSS/Less and advising others on how to achieve custom styling goals with CSS/Less. I currently work on most of my personal projects using the CSS in JS Styled Components for React and continue to brush up on my skills and learn more advanced styling techniques. As far as web styling goes I can currently instruct in CSS, Less, Inline Styles, Styled Components and React Native Styling.

I mainly teach and specialize in Vite and Next JS but also have experience with Laravel, Create React, and React Scripts. Hayden helps my son learn what he needs specifically for his course in C and C+. We have had other tutors that did not work out as they went on tangents--Hayden stays on course and gives meaningful help. They extract the most value out of the time they have, which makes the tutoring worth it.

Haydn is a great teacher. He really knows his subject and loves to teach. He is good at both! I hired Haydn to help me answer several questions on how I could use AI in my business. He gave me some very good on how to use AI strategically and in my branding. He also answered some technical issues and even wrote some code for me on the spot that fixed a few problems I had.
