I hold a Master’s in Education from Portland State University and have been a licensed elementary educator in Oregon since 2015. With nearly ten years of full-time teaching experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with students in grades K–8 across a wide range of subjects, including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. My professional background spans public and charter schools, and I’ve consistently adapted my instruction to meet diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds. I graduated with honors and have also served in leadership roles, including as a District Teacher Technology Leader, where I supported instructional strategies and implementing digital tools to bridge learning gaps, and to make it accessible and fun!

My approach to tutoring elementary students is grounded in patience, enthusiasm, structure, and personalized support. I use hands-on and visual strategies to help learners connect new concepts to prior knowledge—especially in math, where I often rely on number lines, manipulatives, and array models to build a solid foundation. In reading and writing, I emphasize fluency, comprehension, and voice, using guided practice and collaborative learning to build confidence and skills. I’ve taught in both classroom and 1-on-1 settings, and I truly enjoy helping young learners feel seen, supported, and proud of their growth. Whether I’m supporting early readers or helping upper elementary students master multi-step math problems, I tailor every session to the learner’s pace and goals.

ADHD

ADHD

I’m a licensed elementary educator with an M.Ed. and 10 years’ experience supporting students with ADHD. I integrate breathing routines, guided yoga, active brain breaks, music cues, timers, and tech tools (Reminders, Pomodoro, calendars) alongside student-led conferences and exit tickets to strengthen executive-function skills. I also provide personalized toolkits (fidgets, sensory supports), coach positive self-talk, and use regular check-ins to refine self-regulation and celebrate progress.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

I hold a Master of Education and a Bachelor’s in Sociology, and have completed graduate coursework and professional development in supporting students with autism spectrum disorder. For ten years as an elementary teacher, I served on my district’s PBIS team to design and implement school-wide behavior management plans and individualized supports. I led IEP meetings—writing goals, selecting accommodations, and tracking progress—to ensure legally compliant, student-centered plans, and created SEL video models and illustrated social stories that guided students through desired behaviors. I implemented evidence-based ASD accommodations—visual schedules, sensory toolkits, assistive technology—and collaborated with school-based teams, including speech and occupational therapists.
Common Core

Common Core

I hold an M.Ed. and have spent the past decade designing and delivering Common Core–aligned instruction in elementary classrooms and one-on-one tutoring. My lessons unpack each standard into clear learning targets, paired with hands-on math tasks and evidence-based literacy routines that make abstract skills tangible. Frequent formative assessments and data dives let me pinpoint gaps, differentiate supports, and accelerate advanced learners—driving consistent gains on district and state benchmarks. I’ve also led professional-development sessions for colleagues, helping schools translate the Common Core’s rigor into engaging, student-centered practice.
Elementary (K-6th)

Elementary (K-6th)

I have over 10 years of experience teaching elementary students in inclusive K–6 classrooms, with a strong focus on math, reading, science, and social studies. I specialize in creating hands-on, engaging lessons that build foundational skills and align with Common Core standards. I’m experienced in supporting diverse learners, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, and those who benefit from visual or kinesthetic learning approaches. I also lead school-wide initiatives in PBIS and restorative practices, helping create safe, supportive learning environments where all students can thrive.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

I’m an M.Ed-certified elementary teacher with 10 years of success teaching and tutoring Common Core math, from number sense through pre-algebra readiness. By turning abstract ideas into hands-on investigations—using manipulatives, visual models, and real-world word problems—I help students grasp the “why,” not just the steps. Constant formative checks let me close gaps and extend high achievers, driving measurable growth on state exams and, more importantly, building genuine confidence and enthusiasm for math.
