I am a Dean’s List undergraduate student at Oregon State University with a 3.95 GPA in rigorous coursework, including economics and writing-intensive classes. Over the past five years, I have consistently supported peers in high school and college-level courses by helping them understand complex material, prepare for exams, and strengthen their analytical writing. While much of my experience began informally through peer support, I have worked one-on-one with students in both structured academic settings and independent study environments.
My approach to tutoring is centered on clarity and confidence-building. I break down difficult concepts into manageable steps and focus on ensuring students understand the “why” behind the material rather than memorizing processes. In economics, I emphasize intuitive understanding of models and problem-solving strategies. In writing, I help students develop clear arguments, strong structure, and persuasive analysis. I work best with middle school, high school, and undergraduate students who want to improve both their performance and their confidence.
Above all, I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges. My goal is not just to improve grades, but to help students develop independent skills they can carry into future courses.
