Hello! I'm Theo, a 4.0 GPA math major in Oregon State University's Accelerated Master's Program. My passion for teaching is so strong that I was awarded a scholarship from the Sherwood Education Association for my goal of becoming a professor. My qualifications include a perfect 800 on the SAT math section, a 36 on the ACT, and ten perfect 5s on AP exams ranging from Calculus to English Literature.
My teaching experience is diverse, ranging from serving as a formally-trained Learning Assistant for college-level Calculus to comprehensive one-on-one tutoring. I know how to connect with students and adapt to each person's unique learning style using targeted practice and effective test-taking strategies. This approach delivers real results. As one recent ACT student shared: "I started out with a 25 on the math section and ended up scoring a 33... He explains problems in a kind and easy-to-understand manner." Whether I am guiding college students or running high school AP Physics study groups, my core belief remains the same: the best way to learn is to help others succeed.
My philosophy is centered on kindness and patience. I focus on fostering a growth mindset to help students overcome challenges, find their motivation, and build lasting confidence. My goal is for you to not only master the material but to see yourself as a capable and successful learner. I'm excited to help you achieve your academic goals. Let's get started!
