ACT Math

ACT Math

Achieving a perfect score of 36 on the ACT math section requires a mastery of both the core content and the test's specific format and pacing. My expertise is further supported by my perfect 800 on the SAT math section and my studies as a 4.0 GPA student in Oregon State University's Accelerated Master's Program in mathematics. My approach is focused on strategy and efficiency. I teach students how to navigate the test's increasing difficulty, manage their time effectively across the 60 questions, and quickly recognize the most direct path to a solution. We will practice identifying common question types and the underlying concepts from algebra, geometry, and trigonometry that are most frequently tested. My goal is to equip you with the skills and confidence needed to significantly improve your score. As a university Learning Assistant for math, I have formal training in breaking down complex problems and helping students build lasting understanding. Together, we can turn the ACT math section into a major strength on your college application.
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

As a 4.0 GPA math major with perfect scores on the SAT and ACT math sections, I have an absolute mastery of the fundamentals of Algebra 1. More importantly, I have direct, hands-on experience making this critical subject clear and understandable for students. As a volunteer tutor with the National Honor Society in high school, I frequently helped students prepare for their Algebra tests. This experience taught me the common sticking points where students struggle—from solving linear equations to understanding functions—and I developed effective strategies to help them build a solid conceptual foundation. My teaching philosophy is built on patience and positivity. I know that Algebra 1 is where students form their long-term relationship with math, and I am passionate about creating a supportive environment where asking questions is encouraged. My goal is to not only help you earn a great grade but to build the confidence and skills necessary to succeed in all future math courses.
