I have taught manuscript, cursive, and calligraphy for many decades. Using different styles of writing, I have been able to successfully assist students in creating legible writing. Students are expected to use their writing to communicate, so it must be easily recognized by those reading it.

Phonics

I have taught phonics to students in grades K-4. Phonics offers a key to students to use to unlock words. Decoding, breaking words apart and putting them back together, and understanding the sounds the various letter combinations make is essential to successful reading.

Study Skills

I have been helping students to focus and successfully complete activities for decades! We work to try myriad approaches to enhance their learning styles in the completion of assignments. I help each student to develop their sense of self-efficacy. Organization of materials, time, and effort helps each to be more successful.
